1. Match working condition torque requirements: Select according to the rated output torque of the equipment (such as tractors, construction machinery) to ensure that the allowable torque of the friction plate is 1.2-1.5 times greater than the actual working torque to avoid slippage and ablation due to insufficient torque. For example, a 100-horsepower tractor needs to be adapted to a friction plate with an allowable torque ≥500N·m.
2. Confirm size and installation suitability: Accurately check the inner diameter, outer diameter, thickness and number/position of positioning holes of the friction plate. It must completely match the steel plate counterpart and mounting seat of the gearbox or clutch to prevent assembly jams or transmission failure caused by dimensional deviations.
3. Prioritize the stability of the friction coefficient: Choose a product with a dry friction coefficient of 0.3-0.4, a wet (oil-immersed) friction coefficient of 0.15-0.25, and a thermal decay rate of ≤20% to ensure that the friction coefficient does not fluctuate violently under high-frequency shifting and heavy-load conditions to avoid shifting shock or interruption of power transmission.
4. Pay attention to the substrate and temperature resistance: give priority to copper powder/carbon fiber-reinforced paper-based substrates, whose wear resistance is better than ordinary cellulose substrates; at the same time, confirm that the long-term temperature resistance is ≥180°C and the instantaneous temperature resistance is ≥250°C to cope with the aging or failure of the substrate caused by frictional heat in a wet environment.
5. Refer to the adaptability of adapted equipment and brands: For specific equipment (such as tractors, hydraulic winches), choose models recommended by the original manufacturer or with strong adaptability. For example, when adapting to specific gearboxes such as ZF and Aisin, priority is given to friction plates certified by the manufacturer to avoid affecting the service life due to compatibility issues.
